Meanwhile, my wife was flying out of our home airport. The three of us were connecting in Saint Louis to catch the same flight to Orlando. The window of time between the two flights in Saint Louis, for my grandson and I, was pretty narrow. When we got off of the plane in Saint Louis I cautioned him that we had no time to dilly dally lest we miss our connection with Grandma. With the anticipation of the Magic Kingdom in this seven-year-old mind, this lad was more charged with adrenaline than I could have ever imagined.

This normally inactive chubby kid tore through the Sloth admit it life would be boring without me shirt a hybrid of the Green Lantern and Flash Gordon. Burdened with a wheeled carry-on and a shoulder bag myself, he was out-running me, for the first frightening time in his life. My panic was calmed only a little because I could see the bright green shirt as he darted in and out of travelers on the conveyor walk like a crotch-rocket motorcycle in rush hour traffic. Unfortunately, people are just as rude and inconsiderate on a conveyor walk as they are in heavy motor traffic. The slowpokes don’t want to give up the left lane so that you can pass. I did catch up to my grandson. I praised his speed but advised him that it might be a good idea not to lose sight of me while he ran his race to the Magic Kingdom.
