One of my favorite band’s of all time, I’ve seen Joker Joaquin Phoenix Dallas Cowboys shirt them live 5 times including their first concert performance in Wichita at Henry Levitt Arena in January 1972. The original line-up was the best. I disagree with some of this. Saw them two years ago, once with EWF, and once solo and they were awesome. I agree that Terry was awesome and that Peter was more awesome early on, but lemme tell you that Jerry Scheff and Tris Imboden together were a beautiful section and Jerry’s singing was superb. I’m a huge ABB fan and I still loved them after Duane and Dickey. Similar thing with Chicago. Just my opinion, but live, Chicago sounded just as good as they used It’s Jason Scheff. Jerry is his father. A great bassist known for his years with Elvis, work with the Doors, LA Woman, etc. Jason was just what they needed after.

Peter left. I regret that I gave up on the band after Joker Joaquin Phoenix Dallas Cowboys shirt Terry passed away and missed so many years. It’s just the last couple of years that I have navigated towards their sound again. And I really appreciate Jason’s 30-year contribution to this band. He is doing a lot of good things musically and philanthropically. I would like to believe that his 30-year tenure with this band kept them on the charts. With the accidental loss of Terry Kath and the departures of Peter Cetera and Danny Seraphine; the legendary band was just not the same. Tris Imboden was a great replacement for Danny, while (in my personal opinion) Jason was not the right replacement for Peter. New life was injected into the band when Jeff Coffey joined to replace Jason. Sadly, both Tris and Jeff have now departed to work on other projects. Chicago has always survived and they will continue to so.
